The Courses

REQUIRED CORE COURSES:
HRTS 3301/HIST 3301 -- America’s Dilemma: The Struggle for Human Rights. This course examines violations of human rights within their historical contexts. From torture to terrorism and from slavery to genocide, the course explores the foundations of current human rights issues in the world today.  Attention will be given to the evolution of both civil and human rights as entities within global political thought and practice.
