NCADP Announces Texas Job Opening
The National Coalition to Abolish the
Death Penalty (NCADP) is hiring a State Campaign Coordinator.
This is a two-year position, based in Austin, Texas. The
Coordinator will support NCADP state Affiliates, including the
Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, in advancing the
policy debate to lead to repeal of the death penalty. The search
will begin February 22, 2010, and applications will be
considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The
job posting will close April 15, 2010.
The State Campaign Coordinator will work to support efforts of
local advocates in building a stronger state-wide network of
policy advocates and activists to support eventual repeal of the
death penalty in Texas and across the country. There will be a
focus on coalition building, effective communications,
membership development and fundraising in order to build strong
organizations to educate the public and policy makers about the
U.S. and Texas capital punishment systems.
