Hilltop Scholars Program at SMU
Living and Learning Together

Welcome to the Hilltop Scholars Program at SMU, one of the most unique living and learning environments that Southern Methodist University has to offer.  The Hilltop Scholars Program provides a supportive academic and residential environment that combines the advantages and individual attention of a small college with the many social and academic opportunities of a large university. 

Students who are eligible for the Hilltop Scholars program have indicated high academic ability and leadership qualities through their applications for admission to SMU.  We choose students who have much to offer the larger university community and who want more personal interaction with classmates and instructors inside and outside the classroom.  If you choose to become part of HSP, you will join other First-Year Students who want to do well academically and take an active part in their social community.
