SMU provides Basic Group Life Insurance in the amount of $10,0000 at no cost to you. The plan is designed to provide financial assistance to your family in the event of your death.
As part of this benefit, SMU employees have access to the WorldNet Travel Assist Program, which provides comprehensive international travel assistance services.

Summary of what you need to do
When completing your first day forms, be sure to list the individuals you wish to designate as beneficiaries of yoru Basic Group Life insurance.
You may change your beneficiary at any time by completing the Beneficiary Designation Form that can be found on the HR website.
