Who is considered an internal applicant?
Internal applicants are current SMU employees in regular full or part-time staff positions.

Who is eligible to apply for current staff career opportunities?
SMU employees who have completed six months of continuous employment in their current job and are in good standing are eligible to apply for posted career opportunities. Employees who are on progressive disciple cannot apply for posted career opportunities.

If you're an internal applicant, you must apply through the Self Service portal by logging in to https://access.smu.edu.  Internal applicants no longer need to submit an Internal Transfer Form to the Department of Human Resources.

You are eligible to apply for posted career opportunities, after six months of continuous employment in your current position.

IMPORTANT: If you're a SMU temporary employee or student assistant, do not apply through Self Service. You must apply as an external applicant through www.smu.jobs.
