Student Staff Recruitment: WORK 4 RLSH!
Thank you for your interest in Residence Life & Student Housing (RLSH) and the Student Staff positions. Applications will be available in mid-November. Please take a look at the links to the right to learn more about the different types of positions available within the department.
Application Process
Candidates for the RA Position must submit the following for consideration:
- Completed application form
- Two References: One must be from a member of the RLSH staff (i.e., an RA or Residential Community Director). Please have your references fill out this form.
- Short answer responses (in this section candidates are asked to interview a current RA about the RA job)
- Resume
- Spring 2013 Academic Schedule

For this reason, we suggest that you take a look at the survey to determine what information you'll need, prepare that information (i.e., your resume, your reference's contact information, your short answers, and your Spring 2013 Academic Schedule) in advance, and finally fill out the link when everything is ready to go.
Additionally, candidates must participate in the individual and group interview process on February 2, 2013. Appointment times will be e-mailed to you after your application is complete.
All selected candidates for Hire and Alternate Status are required to take and pass the 5 week RA Class. The class will begin the week of March 18th, 2013 and conclude the week of April 15th, 2013. Below are the available course times:
Mondays: 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Mondays: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Tuesdays: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Timeline
- Student Staff Interest Sessions:
- For students living off-campus: November 14, 2012: 5pm, Hughes-Trigg Promenade
- For residential students: Week of November 26, 2012: In each community, see your RA!
- January 28, 2013: Completed application forms and references due by noon
- February 2, 2013: Individual interviews and Group Process, Hughes-Trigg Forum. Appointment times will be e-mailed to you after your application is complete.
Deadlines
Completed application packet including reference are due by Noon on Monday, January 28, 2013. Late applications will not be accepted.
