Educational Background
B.A. in History & Philosophy, Davidson College
Christy was born and raised in Dallas, TX. As an
undergraduate at Davidson College in North Carolina,
Christy double majored in history and philosophy.
She focused her senior history thesis on the North
Carolina Insane Asylum at Raleigh, and presented
research on Abraham Lincoln's son, Willie, at the
Carolinas Regional Phi Alpha Theta Conference.
Christy hopes to focus her studies on the U.S.
South, especially social structure and cultural
aspects arising in the mid to late nineteenth
century. In particular, Christy is interested in
investigating treatment of the disabled in the U.S.
South. Christy played soccer at Davidson and is an
avid college football fan. |
