The History Department awards fellowships to all students accepted into the Ph.D. program. Funding is guaranteed for a period of five years for those who continue to work at the highest levels of excellence. Fellowships include tuition, fees,
health insurance benefits and an
annual stipend of $18,500. In addition, the Clements Department of History
as well as the Clements Center for Southwest Studies have resources available for travel to professional conferences and to research archives.
