Incoming Students
  • New Meningitis Vaccine Requirement
    State Law effective Jan. 1, 2012: Any entering student at any Texas college or university who is under 30 years old must be immunized before attending classes (and must have received the vaccine within the preceding 5 years and at least 10 days prior to the first class day) or provide exemption information.
  • Health Requirements & Health History Form
Mandatory Health Insurance
  • All students who are affected by the Mandatory Health Insurance Policy must either Waive or Elect the Sudent Health Insurance before the January 23, 2012 deadline.  Students must complete this process each semester after they have enrolled in their Spring classes. 
  • Log into your student center in Access.smu and follow the prompts under Health Insurance after you have enrolled in classes.

Memorial Health Center

Memorial Health Center

The Memorial Health Center is a convenient medical clinic located on the SMU campus for diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury. The clinic is staffed by full time physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory and x-ray technologists for diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury.

Services include consultations with physicians, minor surgery, care of injuries, treatment of minor illnesses, immunizations, and continuation of treatments such as allergy injections. The Health Center also offers specialty clinics which include gynecology, sports medicine and dermatology.

Counseling services for various concerns are provided by psychiatrists and psychologists in the Health Center. Additionally, the Health Education Office serves as a resource for health information on campus
