| Godbey Lecture Series |

The Godbey Lecture Series is an outreach program sponsored by Dedman College to introduce the Dallas community to many of SMU's outstanding faculty and to the exciting, scholarly research that takes place in the university. Most lecturers for the GLS are full-time SMU professors. Tax deductible membership fees go directly to the GLS Fund for Faculty Excellence, which provides financial assistance to Dedman College professors for research and professional development, or to "Special Friends" scholarships, which support Dedman College students.
Although membership is required to participate in GLS tours, non-members as well as members are invited to register for GLS lectures. The Godbey Lecture Series offers a varied selection of lecture series each fall, spring, and summer semester. These lectures are given at both on and off campus locations in the Park Cities area of Dallas. Series consisting of multiple lectures under a single heading carry one enrollment fee for the series. Lecture fees are discounted for members. Please refer to the Lectures section for current offerings. Contact us for additional information.
