SMU faculty and staff members directly support the work of their colleagues and enhance the student experience through the President's Partners program. During the program's nine years, gifts of more than $335,000 have helped SMU fund a number of important projects. For example, past grant recipients received funds to purchase four Geiger Counters for physics laboratories (2000), a camcorder, tripod and ten Sony 8mm tapes to videotape vocal work of singers in solo, choral, and operatic coursework for the Music Department (2002), and two 8-piece map sets of the biblical world for use in Religious Studies classes (2005). See the list of additional past grants made by the President's Partners. Gifts can be made by payroll deduction, credit card, or check. Gifts totaling $100 each fiscal year (June 1 through May 31) will be acknowledged with a distinctive President's Partners pin. Download a pledge form to authorize payroll deductions. Persons inquiring about a President’s Partners Grant should contact Arlene Zalkovsky in the Provost’s Office ext. 214-768-2816. |
