The Federal Work Study Program offers off-campus community service and reading tutoring and on-campus work opportunities to eligible students.

Eligibility
- Documented financial need; awarded as part of a need-based financial aid package
- Important - Your work-study award is never applied to your student account. If you elect not to work, or if you don't work the entire year, you won't owe SMU for the remaining award. Additionally SMU does not guarantee you will earn your entire award amount.
Texas College Work Study Program
The Texas College Work Study Program offers on-campus work opportunities to eligible students.
