SMU joined Conference USA in July 2005; 14 of SMU’s 17 Division I teams (in 15 athletic programs) compete under the C-USA banner.
Championship Teams – During the 2006–07 season, nine SMU teams competed in NCAA postseason play.
Rankings – SMU has ranked as the top school in its conference for 10 straight years in the U.S. Sports Academy Directors’ Cup Division I overall athletic rankings.
Graduation Rates – Eight of SMU’s 15 athletic programs scored a perfect 100 percent in the NCAA Graduation Success Rates for 2007, and all 15 SMU programs were equal to or better than the national average.
