Advanced Grammar for Writers

The Office of University Curriculum/GEC offers Advanced Grammar for Writers 3001 to students whose native language is not English.  The course helps students develop their grammar and writing skills through academic readings, writing analysis assignments, and a research documentation project.  Texts for the course include Advanced English Grammar, Find the Errors:  Proofreading Activities, and A Writer's Reference.

The class is open to undergraduate and graduate students of SMU.  It is free of charge, non-credit bearing, and will appear on your transcript as Pass or Fail.  Enrollment is limited and ESL departmental approval is required.  See the most recent semester's course syllabus.
