Communication Skills

The Office of University Curriculum/GEC offers ESL Communication Skills 1001 to students whose native language is not English.  The course focuses on various aspects of advanced-level oral/aural classroom interaction, including:
Speaking Skills
Presentation Skills
Listening Skills
American Idiomatic Usage

The class is open to undergraduate and graduate students of SMU.  It is free of charge, non-credit bearing, and will appear on your transcript as Pass or Fail. Enrollment is limited and ESL departmental approval is required.  See the most recent semester's course syllabus.
