Communications Team is now Enrollment Resources

HR Partnership
 On December 4th, the staff of the Division of Enrollment Services began its partnership with Human Resources by participating in a survey to establish a baseline by which to evaluate the success of a series of Management Development seminars to be conducted in the spring. DES is the forth division at SMU to be invited to participate in this program. Advancement, Athletics, and Student Affairs have previously partnered with HR. The goal of the partnership is to provide managers with tools to work more effectively with their staff and to enhance the quality of life for our employees.

In addition to the seminars, Human Resources will explore with the leadership of DES other initiatives to support these goals. At the end of the educational component the survey will be administered again to measure any changes in attitude.

If you have not returned your survey, Human Resources will be happy to receive it. Any questions about the partnership should be directed to your Executive Director or to Kathy Rowe.

Finance Center - Where are they now?
At the first of November, the Finance Center was dissolved and the staff from that team was redistributed to other teams in Student Financial Services.  These changes were made to better utilize and concentrate the customer service staff in suite 104 and 102.

If you are looking for anyone, here are their new locations.  In most cases staff retained their telephone numbers.

In addition to the staff changes, the Communications Team has changed their name to Enrollment Resources to better reflect the scope of their area with the addition of the refund and payment functions.
