Professor of American Literature
We seek a tenure-track assistant professor of American literature, beginning
or advanced, specializing in Southwest Literature and culture and/or Latina/o
literature (period open). Proficiency in Spanish is highly desired, with the
ability to conduct and guide research in Spanish. A candidate for this
position should have a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching as
well as excellent potential and/or accomplishment as a publishing scholar.
The Ph.D. from a literature department, American Studies, or Ethnic Studies
program must be completed no later than August 1, 2010. For full
