| Jack Myers, author/editor of 17 books of and about poetry, 2003-04 Texas Poet Laureate, and professor of English at SMU for over 30 years, has won writing awards from the National Poetry Series, The National Endowment for the Arts, The National Poetry Series, and The Texas Institute of Letters, among others. His writing seeks to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary by fusing Eastern influences to Jungian psychology while being grounded by ironic humor and a working class sensibility. |
