Dr. Montie Monzingo, an Emeritus Associate Professor at SMU, earned his Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Monzingo was named an SMU Outstanding Professor of the Year on three occasions and was  the 1994 recipient of the Texas Section of the Mathematical Association of America Award for Distinguished College and University Teaching of Mathematics. Dr. Monzingo teaches MATH 1307 Introduction to Mathematical Sciences for TAG. He is a longstanding supporter and faculty member in the TAG program.
