Our Services

SMU's Mustang Learning Center for Youth offers tutoring services for school-age children who are experiencing academic difficulty or want to advance their learning skills. Services are available in a variety of areas, including reading, vocabulary, writing, math and spelling. The Center's reading program has been designed by researchers from Southern Methodist University's nationally renowned Institute for Evidence-Based Education. All tutoring sessions are individualized, providing one-on-one instruction that is explicit, intensive, and specifically designed to meet the needs of individual students, including those with learning differences and disabilities.

The Mustang Learning Center for Youth is dedicated to promoting academic success by helping students develop stronger academic skills, earn better grades, gain self-confidence, and improve motivation. Our ultimate goal is to assist students in becoming strong and independent lifelong learners.
