University is uniquely designed to prepare teachers for leadership in the
implementation of the multi-tiered model of reading instruction currently being
put into effect in schools in Texas and across the country.

A 36-credit-hour degree program that allows individuals with baccalaureate
degrees who are not certified to teach to earn a Master's degree while
completing teacher certification requirements in Early Childhood-6, Middle School, or High
School.

Each of the two MBE programs––one that is a broad
traditional program and one that focuses on gifted students who are limited in
English proficiency--requires the completion of 36 credit hours of interdisciplinary
study and is designed––for
teachers of students who are limited in English proficiency.
