SMU’s Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development offers the four courses that are required for English as a Second Language (ESL) Certification. These courses may also be applied toward SMU’s 36-credit-hour Master of Education (M.Ed.) with a specialization in ESL.

Prospective participants must complete the application as non-degree students. (Applicants who have been admitted to the M.Ed. or M.B.E. program or who have submitted a M.Ed. or M.B.E. application and are approved for admission are, of course, degree-seeking students.)
