Strategies for
Accommodating and Teaching ESL Students in Diverse Classrooms is a
workshop for K-12 teachers who would like to support, accommodate, and
empower their students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
Presenters will facilitate large and small group activities designed to
meet the needs of teachers of all grades and content areas. This
interactive workshop will include presentations, discussions, and
lesson-planning ideas. Working collaboratively with facilitators and
colleagues, teachers will apply workshop strategies and concepts to
their own learner populations.

The workshop meets on June 8th and 9th from 8:30. Participants will earn 12 contact hours of staff development credit from SMU on completion of the workshop.
CostThe cost to participate is $150.
Please register early, as class size is limited. You will receive a class confirmation and parking pass. Classes are subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment. Requests for refunds must be received seven days before the workshop; after that time there will be no refund. Cancellation prior to one week will be refunded less a $15 handling fee.
