SEHD Brown Bag Lunch Series presents:

THE CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE FAMILIES

Join Dr. Denise Collins of SMU's Pre-School Teacher Education program in a discussion and presentation on effective parenting.  Based on Stephen Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families, Dr. Collins' presentation will address the warning signs of family dysfunction as well as the characteristics of highly functional families.
 
Before coming to SMU, Dr. Collins served for 10 years as the Parent Education Coordinator for the Dallas Association for Parent Education where she worked with many families and organizations on parenting issues.  Dr. Collins earned her Ph.D. in child development.  She has been married for 31 years and is the mother of four children.
