Introduction Letter to Participants
To: Participants of AP French Language
Bonjour,
Welcome to “AP FR LN”. My name is Genevičve Brand, and will be your workshop facilitator in Plano this summer from June 22nd to June 26th.
This week long session will examine and discuss what should be emphasized within each major component (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) of the exam. We will deal with methods of instruction and address specific practices to enhance our students’ experiences. We will critique materials- textbooks and web sites. Finally we will develop a mock AP exam as part of the workshop. This workshop will be entirely in French.
There will be plenty of time for us to be practical and to disagree (that’s the French cultural component). The AP FR exam will be our base for our discussions. In addition I hope you will take the time to demonstrate best practices during which we can share ideas and techniques we find effective.
Please bring to this workshop:
If you are new in the AP FR LN world, “pas de souçi” we are here to help you to be successful.
Cordialement,
Genevičve Brand
