SMU School of Education and Human Development
GO FROM STUDENT TO TEACHER IN A SINGLE BOUND.

With most majors, you can use your electives to complete SMU's Teacher Preparation program and become a certified teacher ready to launch a fulfilling career. Even if you're not sure of the career path you will take, teaching credentials can provide a solid career alternative because teachers are needed all the time, everywhere.

If you're graduating this semester, you might prefer the Master of Education with Certification program, which allows you to complete the teacher certification requirements as part of a Master's degree.
