Begin your online application for either the Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution or the graduate certificate program. Follow the instructions to create your account, complete your application, and pay your application fee online. This method is suggested for Master of Arts students so your recommenders can submit their forms on line.

Fax/Mail

Click here to access a print version of the application form. Print the form first and then answer the questions by hand. Please fax your completed form to 972-473-3441 or mail it with a check (made out to SMU) for the $75.00 application fee to SMU Center for Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management, 5228 Tennyson Parkway Suite 118, Plano TX 75024-3547. You may wish to make a copy of the form to keep for yourself.

Transcripts

Admission to the certificate program requires submission of your college transcript. Submission of transcripts from all institutions of higher learning is required for admission to the Master of Arts degree in Dispute Resolution.  Click here to access the transcript form that you may print out and send to the granting institution (s) when requesting transcript (s).

TOEFL

If you are an International student wishing to apply to the Dispute Resolution program, and have not previously taken any academic coursework within the United States, you will be asked to submit a TOEFL score (Test of English as a Foreign Language).  This test is administered by the Educational Testing Service, PO Box 6151 Princeton, New Jersey 08541 (www.TOEFL.org).  The score must be reported to the Dispute Resolution office directly from The Educational Testing Service.  It is important when applying that you indicate on the TOEFL form the code number 5891 so that your score is sent to the Plano campus of Southern Methodist University.
