Dr. Myers earned her M.S. in Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas and her Ph.D. in Counseling and Addictions at the University of North Texas. As a counselor for over 25 years, she has specialized in the treatment of individuals and families impacted by mental health and addictive disorders. She has directed mental health and substance abuse in-patient, out-patient, and residential care centers, and currently has a private psychotherapy practice treating families, pre-teens, adolescents and adults. Dr. Myers has taught as an Adjunct Instructor at Amberton University and the University of North Texas, and has been a presenter at local, national and international workshops on mental health topics for over 20 years. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor (Supervisor) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Supervisor), she is also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
