Sarah Feuerbacher, Ph.D., LCSW-S

Dr. Sarah Feuerbacher
earned a Bachelor of Arts in
Social Work, Master of Social Work, and Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational
Psychology from Baylor University.
Dr. Feuerbacher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor, Practical
Parent Education Certified Parent Educator, State of Texas Parent Facilitator,
State of Texas Parent Mediator, State of Texas Social Study Evaluator (under the
supervision of Dr. Ron Stone), member of a variety of professional associations,
and owner of Serenity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC.
Dr. Feuerbacher is currently employed by Southern Methodist University as Clinic
Director of the Family Counseling Center. Dr. Feuerbacher has served on graduate
and undergraduate faculties for several universities and has taught in positions
of academia including collegiate, secondary, and elementary education. Dr.
Feuerbacher has led many program developments and evaluations; been awarded
multiple grant designations; written for numerous publications; completed
extensive quantitative and qualitative research; and, specializes in public
speaking, providing numerous presentations for international, national, state,
and local conferences. Dr. Feuerbacher’s clinical focus is on holistic
approaches to working with diverse individuals in their intrapersonal and
environmental systems, as well as multifaceted themes of family abuse and
healthy relationships.
Sabine Rakos, LCSW
Assistant Clinic Director
Sabine Rakos received her Master of Social
Work from the University of Texas Arlington in 1986. She served
as director of psychiatry and chemical dependency leading a
multi disciplinary team of psychiatric professionals for both
Charter and HCA hospitals. In 1994 she opened a group private
practice. She has specializations in marriage and family,
psychiatry, chemical dependency and employee assistance programs
serving children, adolescents and adults. Sabine has provided
consulting service to psychiatric hospitals, physical
rehabilitation companies and has presented on employee mental
health and family care to numerous companies. She taught
chemical dependency classes at Midwestern University in Wichita
Falls as an instructor. She continues to provide solution
focused cognitive behavioral therapy in private practice located
in Flower Mound Texas. Sabine is a member of the National
Association of Social Workers.
Misty Solt, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC
Practicum Instructor
Dr. Misty Solt is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor in the state of Texas. Dr. Solt is also a National Certified Counselor and a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor. Dr. Solt received her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois University in 1998 and completed her Doctorate in Counseling with a specialty in Play Therapy at the University of North Texas in 2003. For over a decade, Dr. Solt has worked as a counselor in the following areas: school crisis counseling, in-home counseling, agency counseling, and private practice. Dr. Solt was the Assistant Director of the Center for Play Therapy and has been a Supervisor for the Intensive Play Therapy Supervision component of the Summer Institute for eight years. She has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling Department at both Southern Methodist University and the University of North Texas, teaching in the areas of Practicum, Assessment and Child Counseling. In May of 2003, Dr. Solt opened the Child and Family Counseling Center in Frisco, Texas, which provides counseling services to children, adolescents, and families, as well as supervision to LPC-interns. Dr. Solt has served on the Frisco Independent School District Hope Rising Team, which is a trauma response team to assist children and teens that have experienced a trauma or loss. Dr. Solt is also on the Board of Directors for Camp C.O.P.E., which is an intensive counseling experience offered to children of a deployed or injured parent serving in the War in Iraq. Dr. Solt is currently on staff at Southern Methodist University in Plano, Texas, where she serves as the Clinic Director of the Center for Family Counseling and is a Lecturer. Dr. Solt has authored various articles in the area of play therapy and is the author of “My Special Playtime”. Dr. Solt owns a book publishing company that focuses on producing books that creatively help engender a sense of predictability in a child’s life. Dr. Solt is married, is a mother of three children, and resides in Frisco, Texas.
Gay McAlister, Ph.D.
Instructor/Assoc. Director of Supervision
Dr. McAlister received her Master's of
Education in Supervision at Lamar University and her Ph.D. in Family Studies
at Texas Woman's University in 2006. She is a Licensed Professional
Counselor and a Registered Educational Diagnostician. She served, by
Gubernatorial appointment, to the Texas State Board of Examiners of LPC's
from 1999 to 2003. Since 2004, Gay has supervised more than 44 school
counselors in Dallas ISD. As an Adjunct Instructor, she taught at Lamar
University in Beaumont and the University of Texas, Tyler. She is a member
of numerous associations in the field with presentations at Texas Education
Association meetings and state conferences. National conference
presentations include the American Counseling Association in Detroit in 2007
and many others. Her research interests include family behavior patterns,
female relational aggression, Adlerian perspectives in the classroom as well
as counselor ethics and induction of new counselors.
Maggie Keeling, Ph.D.
Dr. Keeling received her doctorate in Marriage and
Family Therapy from Texas Tech in2005. Prior to becoming a therapist, Dr.
Keeling taught for several years in secondary schools and served as a missionary
for 10 years in Indonesia. She has bachelo
r's
degrees in advertising art from Texas A & M Commerce and in secondary
education/journalism from Southwest Texas State University. Dr. Keeling obtained
her master's degree in Social Sciences from Azusa Pacific University in 1994
while residing overseas. Dr. Keeling is a licensed marriage and family therapist
(LMFT) in Texas and an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
Approved Supervisor. Dr. Keeling's clinical, teaching, and research interests
include innovative treatment in marriage and family therapy, and gender and
culture issues in therapy. She has published in scholarly journals including the
Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, Contemporary Family Therapy, Traumatology,
and the Journal of Feminist Family Therapy. She serves on the editorial boards
of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, Family Process, the Journal of
Family Psychotherapy, and the Journal of Systemic Therapies.

Tonda Crenshaw

Tonda Crenshaw has worked in the field of counseling since 1995, most recently with the Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD and with the Brenham ISD. Prior to that, she worked at Austin College in Sherman, TX, and at Blinn College in Brenham, TX.
