Privacy software effectiveness methodology.

The Hart eCenter was engaged by a privacy software and service provider to develop a methodology by which a software product's effectiveness could be measured. The methodology was developed based on a combination of well-known statistical methods and more esoteric methods suitable for situations in which the product is extremely effective.

Project Lead - Dr. Amit Basu

The Hart eCenter was engaged by a maker of internet security products to investigate the cost and benefit consequences of using security technology to enable eGovernment applications. The work involved establishing a classification framework for eGovernment applications and investigating the characteristic benefits derived by the various classes of applications.

Proposed projects.

The Hart eCenter has proposed a variety of additional research projects including:

  • Investigate and analyze Internet services in support of a novel recreational living development.

  • Perform a multi-disciplinary risk and opportunity assessment for a financial industry software provider who is adopting a new strategic plan.

  • Model, simulate, and optimize the allocation of software applications within a multiprocessor computing complex for a specialized security software provider.

  • Investigate the impact of secure electronic signature technology on financial services applications.

  • Develop a reference design for Internet enabled software systems in support of corporate governance.

  • Provide a multi-disciplinary team to generate product ideas and provide risk assessment for the application of novel technology in an established products company.
