About The Hart eCenter at
SMU
The Hart eCenter at SMU was established in December 2000 through a generous gift from the Hart family, supplemented with a major gift from Nortel Networks.
It is the only university-wide, cross-disciplinary initiative focused on interactive network technologies at a major research university.
Located in Dallas, the eCenter is positioned to leverage the area's resources to develop thought leadership in these technologies and their impact on the evolving networked society. Dallas is home to the Telecomm Corridor and has the second largest concentration of high-tech corporations in the United States.
