Preprofessional Programs
preministerial studies

Dedman College offers a wide spectrum of degree options that can give you a thorough understanding of social, religious, or philosophical issues depending on your personal goals. Keep in mind that ministers should be analytical, intelligent, inquisitive, compassionate, well-versed in history, and keenly aware of societal issues. For instance, consider ethnic studies if you plan to minister to a multicultural community, or a degree in philosophy if your calling involves advising on ethics and contemporary moral problems. Consult with the preministerial academic adviser for additional guidance, including seminary admission requirements.
