Four-Year Planning

Planning for each semester is only part of a larger journey.  The Four-Year Plan is key to reaching your goals.  Want to study abroad? double major? minor in a Foreign Language? have an internship? understand how to take advantage of every opportunity, and finish in four years?

Meeting with your adviser early to explore options and map them out over your four years will be enlightening and empowering.  You will be able to see multiple directions and opportunities before you.  Meet often with your adviser to refine your plan and to verify your fulfillment of it, to help ensure a smooth and opportunity-rich ride through your four years at SMU.

Follow these steps to develop a Four-Year Plan with your adviser.  Revisit these steps often, as you will develop multiple interests and directions.
