Now that you have thought about what you are interested in learning, start translating that into building your academic career at SMU. - Talk with your academic adviser about your abilities, interests, values
- Look through majors and minors in the SMU Catalog
- Use the materials First-Semester Planning section and the Semester Planning section to explore SMU and start your first-semester planning.
- Talk with professors about their subjects and research
- Consider where you excel and where you find studies enjoyable
- Work through questions under "Exploring SMU"
- Discuss your finding with your academic adviser and other mentors.
