Job ID: 1314 Position Information: The Coordinator for Reunion Programs is responsible for events logistics and budget management for all reunion events and activities in collaboration with the Director of Reunion Programs to ensure event strategies are aligned with broader Development and External Affairs strategies in support of the alumni participation goals of The Second Century CampaignPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of two years' work experience with at least one year handling or managing event logistics is required.Experience working with volunteers or as a volunteer with nonprofit organizations desired. Experience handling large mail merges and mailings is preferred. Experience working with volunteers is a plus. Knowledge of SMU traditions and culture is desired. Work experience that includes general bookkeeping and/or budget management is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential as this role will be interacting with external constituents of the University. Candidates must also demonstrate strong organizational and problem solving skills as they will be called to think collaboratively, strategically and creatively. Must also possess the ability to make good judgments in a fast paced high stress team environment. A strong commitment to the support of advancement is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. Familiarity with and knowledge of calendaring software, preferably Outlook calendar, is essential.
