Jolene began at the Hamon Arts Library in early 2013 as Director. She provides leadership for the collections, services and technology, including the Bywaters Special Collections and G. William Jones Film and Video Collection. She also works collegially with the staff and faculty of the Meadows School to address their information needs and to promote the resources and services of the libraries. She holds a BA in Art History from the University of Oregon and an MA in Art History from the University of Oklahoma. She received her MLS from Simmons College.

Pamela joined the Hamon Arts Library in October 2012. Her duties include collection development, reference, and bibliographic instruction in addition to liaison work with the music faculty in the Meadows School of the Arts. Prior to coming to SMU, she worked as the Jazz Studies Librarian and taught the graduate course, Intro to Music Bibliography in the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington. Pamela earned a MM in Performance (Double Bass) from Northwestern University and the dual degree MA in Musicology/ MLS (Music Librarianship Specialization) from Indiana University. Her librarianship interests include areas of digitization and access--especially for special collections-- and digital humanities. Musical research interests include fourteenth-century polyphony, particularly in the music of Guillaume de Machaut.

Beverly began at the Hamon in spring 2005 as the Fine Arts Librarian. In fall 2007, she accepted additional responsibility for dance. For these subjects, she provides reference, teaches bibliographic instruction to students and works in collection development. She received her MA in English in 1995 and MLS in 2003 from the University of North Texas. In addition to her work at the Dallas Museum of Art, she also volunteered at the Kimbell Art Museum for ten years.

After spending several years as a reference librarian in Fondren Library Center, Amy transferred to the Hamon Arts Library where she is responsible for collections and services in film, theatre, and communications. She also serves as the Head of the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection. Amy has an M.A. in Film Studies from Pennsylvania State and an MLS from Texas Woman’s University.

LaGail received her BFA from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and is currently pursuing a Masters of Liberal Studies with a concentration in Fine Arts. She has almost 15 years of experience working in libraries. In her current position at the Hamon Arts Library, she is responsible for hiring and supervising Circulation Staff and directing their activities. These responsibilities range from check-in/out to course reserves, e-reserves as well as general operations and building maintenance issues. She is available to provide general reference, take fines, and help with any library account issues.

Myra received her Bachelor's of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Akron in 2003 and her Master's of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2009. She is responsible for stacks maintenance, supervising student workers, and providing circulation assistance. She is available to provide general reference, take fines, and help with any library account issues.

Sara came to Hamon in May 2012 as Audiovisual Supervisor. She is responsible for the maintenance and operation of audiovisual collections and services, including digitization projects and audiovisual course reserves. Additionally, Sara provides support for library technology, including audiovisual playback equipment. Before coming to SMU, she was the Music Cataloging Graduate Library Assistant at the University of North Texas Music Library. Sara earned her M.M. in Musicology at Kansas State University in 2009 and her M.S. in Library and Information Science in 2012. She is available to provide general reference, take fines, and help with any library account issues.

Sam has been at the Hamon for 20 years and oversees the special collections area. Sam is active in the preservation and conservation of rare material as well as directing efforts to identify and catalog the contents of individual collections. Sam is also responsible for curating exhibits in the Mildred Hawn Gallery, located on the 1st floor of the Hamon Library. Sam spends a great deal of time on developing, hanging, and promoting exhibits both here and in cooperation with the Meadows Museum.

Ellen received her BFA from the University of North Texas in 1976 and her MFA from Southern Methodist University in 1978. She recently published Jerry Bywaters: Lone Star Printmaker, a book based on the Bywaters's prints housed in the collection. In addition to her work at SMU, she is also interested in jewelry design and ancient techniques of metalsmithing.

Emily received her BA from Southern Methodist University in 2008 and her MLS from University of North Texas in 2011. She is responsible for processing collections, assisting researchers and helping to prepare and install exhibitions in the library's Mildred Hawn Exhibition Gallery.
