Circulation Policies

- To borrow library materials, a valid SMU ID card (or SMU library card with a barcode attached) must be presented by the person named on the card.
- Materials checked out to library patrons should remain in the possession of the borrower and should not be loaned to others.
- Eligible materials may be renewed in person or online.
- Telephone requests for renewal are not accepted.
- The replacement fee for fine art books is $100. The standard fee of $50 will be charged for other Hamon Library materials.
TexShare
If you are an SMU student, faculty or staff and want to check out materials from another Texas library, or you're from somewhere in Texas and want to check out SMU materials, you may be able to do so using the TexShare program.
