Reference Services

Reference staff members assist users in selecting, identifying, locating, and using print and electronic information sources. Staff members also provide mediated online searching, teach classes in research methods, and are available for individual consultations. If the library does hold the information needed, reference staff can identify locations where the information is available.

The Fondren Library Center Reference Desk is located on the first floor of Fondren Library East.

Other Support:

Reference Services also provides access to the following services:
 

• Internet Access and MS Office applications (World, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). See our computer policy.
  Wireless Internet Access is also available. Please come to reference desk for connection details. 
   
• Networked printing for computer users.
  - We have a Copy Card Vending Machine as well as a Change Machine to facilitate any printing or copy requirements.
  - Printing cost: $0.10 per page;
  - A copy card from SMU IMAGES or a valid SMU ID with Pony Express Cash is required (cash will not be accepted). (http://www.smu.edu/cul/flc/computing.html )
   
• Photocopy:
  - We have a Copy Card Vending Machine as well as a Change Machine to facilitate any printing or copy requirements.
  - Photocopy cost: $0.10 per page;
  - Patrons may pay for photocopies using an Images copy card, a valid SMU ID with Pony Express Cash, or cash (coins in dimes). (http://www.smu.edu/cul/flc/computing.html )

Saturday	9am – 5pm	12pm – 12am
Sunday	1pm - 9pm	1pm -2am
