Interlibrary Loan Department

If you need materials that the SMU Libraries do not own, you may request them through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). This service connects our library by computer to thousands of others throughout the United States.

We use the ILLiad system to track interlibrary loan requests.

You can log into ILLiad to:

  • submit requests
  • view a history of previous requests
  • resubmit cancelled requests
  • check on the up-to-the-minute status of your request
  • receive delivery of most articles directly from our website
