Screening Room

The primary function of the Screening Room is to provide faculty a venue to screen programs outside of normal classroom hours. Other functions like presentation practice, library or student meetings, and videoconferences are also supported. Contact staff if you have any questions about room policy. A guide to the Fondren Library Media Collection is also available.

Room capacity

  • 40 people

Technology:

  • VHS and DVD players (both NTSC and PAL)
  • one iMac computer
  • one laptop vga input

Location: Fondren Library East, first floor; suite 109B

Scheduling Instructions

  1. Request a screening time (or other room usage) by sending an e-mail to FLE109B@smu.edu.
  2. If you are viewing a title from the Media Library, the media must be reserved by contacting the circulation department or using this form.
  3. Faculty are responsible for picking up and returning the media to the Circulation Desk. If the Faculty is unavailable during the screening time, a proxy from the class may be appointed. Library staff will be on hand to help start the media.
