As part of its mission to interpret its collections and to make them more widely accessible, DeGolyer Library has a long-standing tradition of publishing exhibit catalogs, checklists, finding aids, keepsakes, and other monographs. In conjunction with the Clements Center for Southwest Studies at SMU, the DeGolyer Library publishes the Library of Texas series, which reprints selected classics of Texas history in a handsome new format, each volume edited and introduced by leading scholars. DeGolyer Library is also the home of the Book Club of Texas. Founded originally by Stanley Marcus in 1929, the Book Club is open to anyone with an interest in book collecting, the book arts, and Texas history and literature.
