Write the call number on the inside back cover of the book near the spine, towards the top of the page. Refer to the Voyager Location Codes chart for designations for given locations. Only information in the "Call #" and "Enum" fields is written in the back of the book for the call number. Information in the "Spine" field does not go on the call number. Do not leave any spaces between characters within the call number. Always compare the item record with the call number you have written in the book to be sure they match.
Write the call number on all pieces of accompanying materials that remain with the book. If the material will not remain with the book:
Exceptions:
If the inside cover is so dark that the call number cannot be easily read, apply a white label and write the call number on it.
If it is a browsing &/or juvenile book, the book is covered with plastic during end processing. Write the call number in the top right corner of the last page.
If there are illustrations or pertinent information on the inside back cover that will be lost by covering it up, write the call number in the top right corner of the last page.

For books containing red Special Processing flags see Special Processing of Materials.
Place the bar code label on the last page of the book near the outer edge, towards the top of the page, leaving sufficient space for binding or rebinding.
If there are illustrations or pertinent information on the inside back cover that will be lost by covering it up, place the bar code label in the next suitable location on that page.
