The code in this field can assist in determining whether the record is full level Library of Congress cataloging copy.  Treat records with the following codes as full level LC:

 

lccopycat - LC copy cataloging records.

pcc – program for cooperative cataloging. May have incomplete call numbers.

lcode - LC overseas data entry. May not contain added entries or subjects.

lcnccp - LC cooperative libraries. Obsolete, but may occur in older copy

 

lc - LC serial record

lcd - CONSER serial record
