Description:  A collection of peer-reviewed, full-text articles in HTML and PDF format with coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature, and other subjects; intended primarily for academic researchers. It also contains podcasts and transcripts from NPR, CNN, and the CBC, as well as full-text New York Times content to 1995.

Also includes full-text access to over 5,000 journals. AGRICOLA
Description:  A Web site providing access to AGRICOLA, a machine-readable database of bibliographic records created by the National Agricultural Library, specifically the Library's online public access catalog and a journal article citation index.

Alt HealthWatch
Description:  Provides full text for articles from more than 180 international and often peer-reviewed journals, reports and proceedings, as well as association and consumer newsletters. In addition, Alt HealthWatch includes hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. Covers the full spectrum of subject areas of complementary and alternative medicine. The majority of the full text titles included in the database are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color.

Dissertations & theses
Description:  Includes citations for over 2.7 million dissertations and theses from around the world, ranging from 1861 to those accepted last semester. Dissertations published from 1980 forward include 350-word abstracts; master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. Where available, PQDT provides twenty-four page previews. More than 1.2 million are available for download in PDF format.

Description:  Provides an integrated collection of general interest health and fitness magazines, medical and professional periodicals, reference books and pamphlets. Description:  Offers authoritative information on health-related questions. With this consumer-health database, discover healthy nutritional guidelines or search for the latest treatments for cancer. The content is also enhanced with several health books published by the People's Medical Society. With this database you can search for information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Health Source: Consumer Edition features searchable full text for nearly 190 journals including Consumer Reports on Health and Menas Health, as well as abstracts and indexing for over 200 general health, nutrition and professional health care publications. Also included is USP Pharmacopoeia DI: Volume II Advice for the Lay Patient and 20 health research books, including books published by the People's Medical Society. Health source nursing/academic edition
Description:  Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals, including nearly 450 peer-reviewed journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Coverage of nursing and allied health is particularly strong. In addition, this database includes Clinical Pharmacology, which provides access to up-to-date, concise and clinically relevant drug monographs for all U.S. prescription drugs, hard-to-find herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new drugs. The majority of full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color. Full text information in this database dates as far back as 1975.

Household products database : health & safety information on household products
Description:  This database links over 11,000 consumer brands to health effects from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) provided by manufacturers and allows scientists and consumers to research products based on chemical ingredients. The Household Products Database of the National Library of Medicine is based on the Consumer Product Information Database.

Description:  Spanish language collection of medical research and investigative journals published by renowned Latin American medical publishers. This unique database provides access to full text for nearly 100 peer-reviewed medical journals in native Spanish. The majority of full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color. A wide range of topics are covered including neuroscience, cardiology, nephrology, biomedicine, clinical research, pediatrics, human reproduction, clinical pathology, cancer research, and hematology.

Description:  MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree numbers, tree hierarchy and explosion capabilities to search abstracts from over 4,600 current biomedical journals.

NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS)
Description:  Provides access to over 500,000 aerospace-related citations, over 200,000 full-text online documents, and over 500,000 images and videos. The NTRS integrates historical NASA information with more recent research from various research facilities. The types of information found in the NTRS include: conference papers, journal articles, meeting papers, patents, research reports, images, movies, and technical videos.

National environmental publications Internet site (NEPIS)
Description:  Access the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) publication library, with more than 7,000 in stock and 26,000 digital titles, free of charge. Search and retrieve, download, print and/or order only EPA publications from this site.

Natural & alternative treatments
Description:  Natural & Alternative Treatments contains detailed information on more than 180 different conditions and the conventional and natural treatments used to treat them, over 200 herbs and supplements, plus drug-herb and drug-supplement interactions for more than 75 drug categories. These articles are entirely based on double-blind, placebo-controlled studies and other forms of meaningful scientific evidence. At present, more than 12,000 such studies are cited in the material, and new studies are added as they appear.

Description:  The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) serves as the largest central resource for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information available today. Patent full-text databases
Description:  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) Web Patent Full-Text Databases include the full text of all patents granted since 1976, and the patent number, issue date, and current US classification for all patents granted from 1790 through 1975. Patents from January 1976 to the present offer the full searchable text, including all bibliographic data, such as the inventor's name, the patent's title, and the assignee's name; the abstract; the full description of the invention; and the claims.

RAND Corporation (Reports and bookstore)
Description:  Search over 10,000 reports published by the RAND Corporation since 1946 and purchase documents published since 1998 through their bookstore along with a free download option. Catalogs and subject area bibliographies available for download and are commonly used by libraries and other institutions to review RAND's extensive inventory.

Description:  Science Citation Index Expanded is a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the sciences. It fully indexes 5,900 major journals across 150 scientific disciplines.

Description:  A full-text database offering journal articles and book chapters published by Elsevier, including more than 2,500 peer-reviewed journals and more than 11,000 books.
