Description:  Collection of bibliographic and full text content, including ndexing and abstracts for scholarly business journals back to 1886. Also includes searchable cited references for more than 1,200 journals and detailed author profiles for the 20,000 most-cited authors in the database. Additional full text, non-journal content includes financial data, books, monographs, major reference works, book digests, conference proceedings, case studies, investment research reports, industry reports, market research reports, country reports, company profiles, SWOT analyses and more. Covers all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics.

CE database
Description:  Abstracts and indexes journals, conference proceedings, books, standards, manuals, magazines and newsletters published by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Subject areas covered include: aerospace engineering, architectural engineering, bridges, cold regions, computing practices, construction, earthquake engineering, education, engineering mechanics, environmental engineering, forensic engineering, geotechnical engineering, highways, hydrology, hydraulics, irrigation and drainage, management, materials engineering, structural engineering, transportation, urban planning, water resources, and ocean engineering.

Computer source
Description:  Provides researchers with the latest information and current trends in high technology. This database offers full text for nearly 300 publications, covering topics such as computer science, programming, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, information systems, robotics, and software. In addition, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 450 publications. Computer Source provides researchers with full text journals. Leading general magazines are also provided. Many full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color. Full text information in this database dates as far back as 1985.

Description:  Provides access to and transfer of scientific and technical information for U.S. Department of Defense personnel, contractors and potential contractors, and other U.S. government agency personnel and their contractors. Official website of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), a component of the DoD's Scientific and Technical Information Program (STIP).

Dissertations & theses
Description:  Includes citations for over 2.7 million dissertations and theses from around the world, ranging from 1861 to those accepted last semester. Dissertations published from 1980 forward include 350-word abstracts; master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts. Where available, PQDT provides twenty-four page previews. More than 1.2 million are available for download in PDF format.

DOE information bridge
Description:  Provides access to over 298,000 full-text documents and bibliographic citations of Department of Energy (DOE) research report literature primarily from 1991 forward produced by DOE, the contractor community, and/or grantees. Description:  Provides access to over 2.4 million science research citations and documents are made publicly available by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Description:  Online search engine by Google specializing in academic and research information. Uncovers documents from fee-based databases and digitial repositories not found when using Google. Google Scholar also links to full-text content owned by SMU library when searched on campus or from this link.

Description:  Provides access to research including scholarly, government and general-interest information covering all aspects of human impact on the environment. Topics include global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. GreenFILE is multidisciplinary by nature and draws on the connections between the environment and a variety of disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology.

IEEE ConferenceSearch
Description:  Information on more than 1,100 annual conferences and meetings sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) across the world. Includes access to IEEE's "Call for Papers" database.

NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS)
Description:  Provides access to over 500,000 aerospace-related citations, over 200,000 full-text online documents, and over 500,000 images and videos. The NTRS integrates historical NASA information with more recent research from various research facilities. The types of information found in the NTRS include: conference papers, journal articles, meeting papers, patents, research reports, images, movies, and technical videos.

Description:  The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) serves as the largest central resource for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information available today. For more than 60 years NTIS has assured businesses, universities, and the public timely access to approximately 3 million publications covering over 350 subject areas.

Patent full-text databases
Description:  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) Web Patent Full-Text Databases include the full text of all patents granted since 1976, and the patent number, issue date, and current US classification for all patents granted from 1790 through 1975. Patents from January 1976 to the present offer the full searchable text, including all bibliographic data, such as the inventor's name, the patent's title, and the assignee's name; the abstract; the full description of the invention; and the claims.

Description:  Contains more than 820 leading full-text journals covering relevant aspects of the scientific and technical community. Site allows printing and downloading of e-books, and option to purchase print versions at a reduced rate.
