Pop-Up Eliminators:

Most pop-up problems with Blackboard have been resolved. However, if you still experience problems try the solution below.

I am sure everyone has experienced pop-up ads while browsing the web. Many of you may have installed one of the nifty pop-up eliminators on your computer. Unfortunately, they can also cause trouble for Blackboard users.

Blackboard use pop-up windows for some of its functions. Common places you will find these in are in the mail, discussions, and quizzes. If you have installed a pop-up eliminator it may stop these features from functioning. If things are not functioning properly try disabling the pop-up eliminator while you are using Blackbaord or allow the Blackboard site to pass the blocker.

If you are using the Safari browser in Mac OS X the pop-up blocker can remain on. It will not effect any Blackboard functions. This is also true for the Firefox browser on either Windows or Mac OS X.
