The new integration of Blackboard and Access.SMU creates, populates and updates course shells for all courses and sections daily. You can combine sections to save yourself the bother of maintaining multiple Bb courses with the same content.

Note: Access.SMU will continue to update all sections daily. If a student enrolls in a section not being used after you combine sections they will not appear in the combined. You will have to add them manually.

Copy Course MenuHere are the steps to combine enrollment.

  1. Control Panel
  2. Click to expand the Packages & Utilities.
  3. Click Course Copy.
  4. In the Destination Course ID box, enter the Blackboard course ID of the course that you are copying into.
    Example: THNK1301-10-1082
  5. In Section 2, click the check box next to one of the Content Options you never use. (For most people, Task is a function rarely used.)
  6. In Section 3, check the Enrollment box.
  7. Click Submit to proceed and wait for the process to complete.
