CHILD CARE & PRESCHOOL CENTER

License Information

The center was started over twenty-five years ago as a co-operative. It has since become a full service child care center licensed by the State of Texas.

The center currently serves thirty-three children and families consisting of student, staff and faculty of SMU. Staff to child ratios are as follows:

Infant room (1-18 months): 2 teachers to 6 children
Toddler room (18-36 months): 2 teachers to 12 children
Preschool room (3-5 years.): 2 teachers to 16 children

All teachers are highly experienced with a combination of degrees and in-service training and complete annual CPR and First Aid training.

Parents may, upon request, review a copy of the minimum standards and most recent licensing report issued by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
