Because SMU's Alternative Break program is such a competitive program, those who complete their applications early are more likely to be accepted into the program and assigned to a trip. The earlier the better, but we will take the most qualified applicants to provide a more well-rounded experience for the group as a whole! Upon your acceptance into the program, your site leader will contact you about trip meetings. The remaining balance of the trip must be paid to the Office of Community Engagement and Leadership in Suite 200 of the Hughes Trigg Student Center at a predetermined date prior to your particular trip.

Financial Aid Information:

Financial Aid is available in the form of fundraising opportunities. All participants must pay the trip(s) deposit by the indicated deadline in order to secure your space on the trip. However, the remaining balance of your trip cost can be obtained through our fundraising initiatives. For more information about financial aid fundraising, please contact that AB Student Director or Advisor.
