Vision Statement
Entertain • Challenge • Inspire
The history and growth of Plano Repertory Theatre has
paralleled the tremendous growth of the city of Plano. Since its
inception as a small volunteer community theatre in 1975, PRT–through
the vision and commitment to quality of its board, artists, and
staff–has evolved into a highly respected professional arts
organization presenting theatrical and educational opportunities
that entertain, challenge and inspire. PRT has been recognized for
artistic excellence by the Dallas Theatre League, the Dallas
Theatre Critics Forum and The Dallas Morning News. Most recently
the theatre 'swept' the Leon Rabin Awards (sponsored by the Dallas
Theatre League) with 10 wins in acting, directing, costume,
lighting, and set categories. Theatre is a magical experience
which lifts the participant out of the mundane into an imaginary
realm. Join us and rediscover the magic of live theatre!

Rainbow Days, Inc was founded in 1982 to provide children
living in high-risk situations the skill they need to overcome
adversity and stay drug-free. Children who participate in Rainbow
Days award winning Curriculum Based Support Groups, are taught how
to make healthy life choices that enable them to break the cycle
of alcohol, drug and physical abuse. By being involved in a
support group, children have the opportunity to talk about, and
have validation of their feelings. They have the assurance that
they are valued and important, and they have an increased feeling
of safety - so critical in our current environment.
In addition to the support groups, RDI provides life
enriching alternative activities for children living in shelters,
affording even more opportunities to help them build a positive
sense of self-worth.

The Texas Youth Commission (TYC)is the juvenile
correction agency for the State of Texas and is responsible for
serving delinquent youth ages 10 through 21, who are committed to
the states custody. All juveniles in the care, custody and control
of TYC have been found delinquent and were committed to TYC by a
juvenile court.
Treatment programs are provided to all youth. The most
recent treatment program is called "Resocialization",
and addresses basic behavior in a TYC facility. Rewards and
privileges are tied to a youths compliance with these expectations
for behavior.
The four cornerstones of the "Resocialization"
program are correctional therapy, education, work, and discipline
training. TYC volunteers have the opportunity to attend training
in the "Resocialization" program, so they will be able
to assist youth in mastering the various "Phases" of the
program.
More intensive treatment is available for youth with
identified special treatment needs. Specialized treatment if
available for capital offenders, sex offenders, substance abusers,
emotionally disturbed youth, and female offenders.
TYC's aftercare, also known as parole, is designed to
ensure that the progress made while in a TYC program will be
maintained once a youth has been released to his/her home.
